Strand Larsen Debuts as Palace Lose Opener

Everton got a dream start to their new Premier League season with a 2-0 home victory over Crystal Palace. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall put the hosts ahead with a fine shot from an angle just before halftime. Early in the second half, Thierno Barry doubled the lead with a header.

Jørgen Strand Larsen came on for Crystal Palace after 63 minutes, replacing Jean-Philippe Mateta. The Norwegian got about half an hour on the pitch but couldn't change the result.
