Sabalenka exits China Open

Second seed Aryna Sabalenka was knocked out of the China Open in straight sets by 34th-ranked Nikola Bartunkova on Sunday.

Former world number one Sabalenka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, lost 6-4, 6-3 to the 20-year-old Czech player in one hour and 35 minutes. Bartunkova, who sent down four aces, will face Austria's Sinja Kraus in the round of 16.

The defeat means both top seeds at the China Open are now out, as top seed Elena Rybakina also lost in Beijing. chincha.pl
