Playoff Run Factors in Espada's Decision

Astros owner Jim Crane stated Monday that the team's playoff run will be "something to consider" when deciding on the future of manager Joe Espada, whose contract expires after the season. Crane noted there have been no recent discussions about a potential new deal for Espada. cricket-info.homes

The Astros made the playoffs with an 81-81 record, becoming the first MLB team to reach postseason without a winning record. They'll host the Chicago White Sox in a best-of-three Wild Card Series beginning Tuesday, marking the franchise's ninth playoff appearance in 10 years.
