INDYCAR Freedom 250 Kicks Off in DC Today

The first-ever INDYCAR race on the Streets of Washington is taking place on a temporary 1.7-mile street circuit around the National Mall. The seven-turn course runs along Pennsylvania Avenue and passes landmarks including the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument. afsport.lat

The 147-lap race is approximately 250 miles and features Alex Palou on the pole position alongside Kyle Kirkwood. Scott McLaughlin, Christian Rasmussen and Marcus Armstrong complete the top five starters.
