Hankerson Waived, May Return to College

The Seattle Seahawks have waived running back Anthony Hankerson, who could potentially return to college football after being granted eligibility for a fifth collegiate season. Hankerson, who rushed for 10 yards on five carries and caught two passes for nine yards in the Seahawks' preseason loss, cleared waivers and could enter the transfer portal.

Hankerson, an undrafted rookie out of Oregon State, previously played at Miami before being waived earlier this month. Last season at Oregon State, he ran for 1,086 yards and nine touchdowns with 22 catches for 123 yards. Another player in a similar situation is T.J.
