Bradish Wins Despite Disastrous Error

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kyle Bradish was lucky that a fifth‑inning error didn’t cost his team the 5‑3 win over the Chicago White Sox, and he still earned his first win of the season.

The right‑hander walked Colson Montgomery and dropped a throw that allowed Chase Meidroth to score, giving the White Sox a 3‑2 lead. Bradish struck out Andrew Benintendi to end the frame and later admitted the mistake was “unacceptable” and childish.

Despite the blunder, Bradish finished five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits with seven strikeouts and three walks. Baltimore’s bullpen held the White Sox scoreless for the final four frames, and the Orioles completed a three‑game sweep of Chicago.
