Saints waive Austin, Welch after adding OT, DT

The New Orleans Saints have waived wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and tight end Treyton Welch, corresponding moves after adding offensive tackle Mason Murphy and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from waivers on Monday.

Kevin Austin, 26, appeared in 16 games for New Orleans over the last two seasons. In 2025, he caught 13 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown in eight contests with one start. Treyton Welch, 25, appeared in three games with one start for New Orleans last season.
