Justin Fields Could Return to NY Giants

The Giants are expected to make a move as soon as Monday regarding their quarterback situation after Jaxson Dart missed the rest of the regular season due to knee surgery. Fields has been mentioned multiple times by reporters as a possibility, with the Giants looking to either provide a backup for Jameis Winston or find someone who could eventually replace Dart.

Fields, who signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Jets last year including $10 million guaranteed for 2026, was traded to the Chiefs as a potential replacement for Patrick Mahomes. With Mahomes performing well, the Chiefs could recoup their 2027 sixth-round pick and unload the remainder of Fields's 2026 salary, making a move to the Giants a possibility. truewildgame.com
