J.J. McCarthy: Giants Trade Shock, Opportunity

McCarthy, acquired in a trade with the Vikings this week, acknowledged the unexpected move: "When I got the call here, it was a shock. I didn't anticipate it, but at the end of the day, it's an opportunity," he said via ESPN.

The Giants may utilize McCarthy as Jameis Winston's backup this Sunday against the Cardinals as they navigate Jaxson Dart's season-ending injury. McCarthy hopes a strong showing will open doors for his future in the NFL, saying "I love these guys already and I can't wait to do it for them." sweetbonanza.qpon
