49ers Sign Dante Pettis to Practice Squad

The 49ers are signing wide receiver Dante Pettis to their practice squad according to Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report.

The move comes as the 49ers deal with multiple injuries at wide receiver, including Ricky Pearsall (out for the season), Christian Kirk (injured reserve), and De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson (missing time). Mike Evans also left last week's win with a rib injury. mchezo.co.za

Pettis, 30, originally entered the NFL with the 49ers as a second-round pick in 2018. He had 467 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie but was waived in 2020. He has since played for the Giants, Bears, and Saints, recording nine catches for 127 yards in eight games with New Orleans last season.
