Récemment remis d’une longue blessure, Moussa Camara « Pinpin », ancien gardien du Horoya AC, tourne ainsi la page de son aventure en Tanzanie. Son compatriote Naby Camara quitte également le Simba SC après son passage au sein du club. freshyourfeel.org

ATLANTA, United States, July 16, 2026 – Argentina defender Cristian Romero says Gary Neville was “stupid” to criticise his centre-back partnership with Lisandro Martinez.

In the build-up to Argentina’s dramatic 2-1 World Cup semi-final win over England, former Manchester United full-back Neville described Romero and Martinez as “the best, worst centre-half pairing in the world”.

Both were booked in Wednesday’s feisty last-four match in Atlanta, but they also played a significant part in England being limited to only two shots on target as defending champions Argentina came from behind to win with late goals.

Romero and Martinez, who are both 28, have started all but one of Argentina’s World Cup games this summer, helping Lionel Scaloni’s side reach their second successive World Cup final.

“The only thing that I hope for is that when I retire, I am not that stupid. Hopefully I won’t criticise a player or anyone,” Tottenham defender Romero told DSports when he was asked about Neville’s punditry comments.

“Because at the end of the day, we are doing our best for our national team. Sometimes it goes right for us, sometimes badly, but we are just happy to be in a World Cup final again.

“I think we are making history, for us it is something really huge, and we feel the significance of this shirt like no-one else.”

Manchester United defender Martinez had his own say, explaining: “We’re used to people always talking about us. It seems like they like doing it, and we respond on the pitch, that’s it, always with respect.”

Romero and Martinez have helped Argentina keep two clean sheets in the six World Cup games when they have started together, with the team conceding six goals.

Neville, who won 85 caps for England and works for ITV and Sky, commented on the pair on the Overlap Podcast., external

“They seem to give a goal away between them every single game,” said Neville.

“But you watch them, they are scoring goals, heading the ball, they’re literally everywhere – it’s incredible.

“I call them the best, worst centre-half pairing in the world. Because they absolutely at times can be unbelievable, but the next, it’s the sublime to the ridiculous.”

Argentina face Spain in Sunday’s World Cup final (20:00 BST) as they look to win the tournament for a fourth time, while England take on France in Saturday’s third-place match (22:00).

A grizzled campaigner is set to feature for a Jean-Luc du Plessis-led Stormers XXIII side featuring six Currie Cup debutants against defending champions Griquas on Friday night.

Up front, veteran loosehead Oli Kebble packs down alongside Paulo and young tighthead Herman Lubbe in the front row.

Former Sharks lock Gerbrandt Grobler brings valuable experience to the second row alongside Barnard.

Mlaba anchors a mobile loose trio with Divan Fuller and Keke Morabe, while Nyali is among the impact players on the bench.

Dawson-Squibb says his side has embraced the challenge of taking on the defending champions in their opening match.

“We are new as a team, which brings with it the chance of some adapting through the game but more importantly, it brings with it massive enthusiasm and competitiveness.

“My message for the last four weeks has been to compete ‘unreasonably’. We want this team to go above and beyond in every area and push ourselves as far as we can, which is what we mean by being unreasonable. What better way to test this than against the defending champions who are high on confidence.

“This is a big moment as we start a new era, and what better place to do so than DHL Stadium. The players and management are all looking forward to the challenge and giving all we have to make a positive start.”

The Stormers will also be looking to end Griquas’ dominance in this fixture, with the defending champions having won the last eight meetings between the teams.

Wales speedster Louis Rees-Zammit will run out as one of six changes to Steve Tandy’s starting XV for the Nations Championship Test with the Springboks on Saturday.

The coach has selected a new centre partnership with Max Llewellyn and Ben Thomas replacing Eddie James and Joe Hawkins, who started in the loss to Argentina last week in Córdoba.

Rees-Zammit, who began the first-round victory over Fiji, returns to the right wing in place of Ellis Mee.

In a fourth backline change, Dan Edwards takes over from Sam Costelow as flyhalf as Wales seek only a second-ever win in South Africa over the Boks.

Lock Teddy Williams comes in for Ben Carter and flanker Alex Mann gets the nod with James Botham dropping to the bench.

While Wales have five points from two matches, the Boks have 10 through bonus-point victories over England and Scotland.

“We have made some changes to the starting XV. It is coming to the end of the season and we have had a big bit of travel,” said Tandy.

“South Africa are world champions. They have loads of depth. For us, it is about putting our game out there. We want to see a real physical edge.

“We are going up against probably the most physical team in the world. So we know we are going to have to really step up the physicality.

“It is a great opportunity to test ourselves against the best team in the world.”

Alzeadon Felix has been handed the No 15 jersey after Luan Giliomee’s suspension as the Junior Springboks named their team for Saturday’s World Rugby U20 Championship final.

Giliomee was sent off in South Africa’s semi-final victory over England.

It is the only enforced change in the backline as the Junior Boks bid to become the first South African team to win back-to-back World Rugby U20 Championship titles.

Coach Kevin Foote has otherwise kept faith with the combinations that have taken the Junior Boks to a second successive final, making just three changes in total to his side to face France.

The other alterations come in the loose trio, where Wasi Vyambwera starts at No 8 in place of Gert Kemp, who shifts to the bench, while Risima Khosa comes into the starting side at openside flank.

The experienced front row of Oliver Reid, captain Siphosethu Mnebelele and Danie Kruger remains intact, with Heinrich Theron and JD Hattingh again combining in the second row.

Luke Cannon completes the loose trio alongside Khosa and Vyambwera.

Behind the scrum, Hendré Schoeman and Yaqeen Ahmed continue their impressive halfback partnership, while Ethan Adams and Markus Muller retain their midfield places. Wings Khuthadzo Rasivhaga and Cheswill Jooste complete an exciting back three with Felix.

Foote said the squad had used the week well to prepare for what promises to be a massive challenge.

“This group has been together since the beginning of the year and they understand the way we want to play. We’ve used this week to sharpen our readiness and focus on the areas where we felt we could improve.”

The Junior Boks’ honesty and willingness to learn has impressed the coach throughout the tournament.

“The pleasing aspect of this group is their honesty and accountability. The players are open with each other in their assessments, and together we’ve identified solutions and worked hard on those areas.

Foote also praised the spirit within the squad, which is now one win away from making South African rugby history.

“The outstanding quality of this group is the bond they share and how much they enjoy representing South Africa.

“France are a very formidable side and fully deserve their place in the final. Their performances in the recent Junior World Championship and the Six Nations show that they understand how to perform when playing knockout rugby.”
